LOOK: VP Leni Bumisita sa Marawi Ground Zero

Vice President Leni Robredo has visited the main battle area that incurred the most damage from the months-long clashes in Marawi City.
Robredo set foot at Ground Zero on Thursday morning (November 16), accompanied by Marawi Mayor Majul Gandamra and officials from the Philippine Army, photos from her Facebook page showed.

“Medyo overwhelming iyong pakiramdam,” the Vice President said in an interview after the visit. “Siyempre may nakikita na tayo sa pictures, pero iba pa din kapag actual mong nakita. Iyong tinatanong ko nga, kung ito iyong nararamdaman ko na hindi ako tagadito, ano pa kaya sa mga tagadito talaga?”
Robredo visited Marawi City, among the areas assisted by her office under its Angat Buhay anti-poverty program, along with some of their private partners. She reiterated the partners’ willingness to help in rehabilitation efforts by supplementing the assistance that will already be provided by the government.
For this trip, the Vice President turned over P500,000 worth of medicines each for Amai Pakpak Medical Center and the City Health Office of Marawi, school kits, cash assistance to the local government, and a pledge to shoulder transportation cost for returning residents.
